Antigone
Written by Sophocles

Here we have an excerpt of the beginning of antigone by sophocles. This is a realized production performed on the baylor university theatre main stage in the fall of 2019. Our production concept placed the play in a panic-room style bunker in which the constituents of thebes sheltered from an air raid, and thusly required a small bit of setup before the actions of the play began. this excerpt shows the small scene that took place before scene 1 where the people of thebes were rushed into a bunker by order of creon.

Machinal
Written by Sophie Treadwell
Above is an excerpt from a theoretical design of the Sophie Treadwell play Machinal. I chose this play as my final design in my Advanced Sound Design class in 2018. This excerpt covers the beginning of the first scene, and includes a cue that is made to be completely random every time it is played, allowing for a more fluid world to be created. In this case, typewriters were used, but the cue template also works perfectly with the sounds of nature to create a world that feels alive.
Mnemonic
written by complicite
Directed by Dr. David Jortner
Stage Managed by Amanda Lassetter
Scenic Design by Michael Mehler
Costume Design by Hannah Proschaska
Lighting Design by JoJo Percy Jones
Projection Design by Ryan Joyner
Above is an excerpt from a realized design of the play Mnemonic by Complicite. For this production, I served as the Associate Sound Designer alongside a guest designer that came in solely to work with voiceovers. Because of the needs of the show, I ended up handling all design elements that did not include editing voiceovers. In total, the show required around 190 called cues just from sound, and the QLab file had over 2000 moving parts.
The Liar
written by Pierre Corneille
adapted by david ives
Directed by John-Michael Marrs
Stage Managed by Katie Trexler
Scenic Design by Michael Sullivan
Costume Design by Sally Lynn-Askins
Lighting Design by Matt Smith
Here are two cuts of the same song that were made during tech for our production of Pierre Corneille and David Ives' The Liar. For this production, I served as lead sound designer, and thusly was in charge of cutting all music included in the production. This song proved especially tricky due to the intro not leading seamlessly into the chorus. On the left is the original song, and on the right is my edited version.
Hay Fever
written by Noel coward
Directed by Steven Pounders
Stage Managed by David Smith
Scenic Design by Matt Smith
Costume Design by Sarah Mosher
Lighting Design by Hannah Grace Harper
And lastly, on the right we have my design presentation for Baylor Theatre's production of Hay Fever by Noel Coward. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 shutting down Baylor's campus for the Spring semester, Hay Fever will never come to the main stage at Baylor. Nevertheless, the design team presented stylized samplings of the show to the department, and this is a product of that.
